چکیده
Abstract In this work, the potential adsorption abilities of mineral materials such as zeolite (Ze), halloysite (Ha), chalcedonite (Ch), and Devonian sand (DS) used low-cost resources for removal Rhodamine B (RhB) from aqueous solutions were investigated in batch conditions. Adsorption kinetics equilibrium effect solution reaction (pH) studied. kinetic data analyzed using two models: pseudo-first-order pseudo-second-order models. was better represented by model. Equilibrium Freundlich, Langmuir, Sips isotherms. The results show that fit well with Freundlich equilibrium. Monolayer maximum capacities RhB assumed at 6.964, 4.252, 2.701, 0.349 mg/g Ze, Ha, Ch, DS, respectively. strongly pH-dependent. on all tested observed pH = 2.2 decreased further increase. these investigations suggest natural certain minerals have a good solutions. Adsorptive Removal of Dye from Industrial Effluents Using Natural Iraqi Palygorskite Clay as Low-cost Adsorbent
Palygorskite clay has been investigated as low cost and ecofriendly adsorbent for the removal Basic Red 2(BR-2) from aqueous solution. Batch adsorption studies are carried out by observing effect of amount of adsorbent dose, contact time, pH, initial concentration of ( BR-2) and particle size of adsorbent on the adsorption capacity of the adsorbent were studied. Adsorption data fits the Langmui...

Synthetic dyes are using extensively in various industries such as textile, leather tanning, plastic, pulp and paper. Since this dyes are mainly toxic and even carcinogenic, discharging dye containing wastewater into the environment generates serious environmental and health consequences. Therefore, in this research investigated and evaluated the removal effect of Reactive Red 120 (RR 120) from...
متن کاملAdsorptive removal of erythrosine dye from aqueous solutions using used cigarette filter ash loaded with Al/ Fe oxides
Dye contamination in water is a serious environmental problem around the world. Erythrosine is a water-soluble xanthenes class of dye that widely used as colorant in many industries. Used cigarette filter ash loaded with Al/ Fe oxides was synthesized by a low-cost, simple, and environmentally benign procedure. The adsorbent was characterized by several methods including energy dispersive X-ray ...
متن کاملRemoval of Cadmium Ions by Sorption from Aqueous Solutions Using Low-cost Materials
The efficiency of four low-cost sorbent materials namely peas husk, broad bean husk, medlar peel and fig leaves, for removing cadmium ions from aqueous solutions, in single systems, has been investigated in batch mode. Kinetic data and equilibrium sorption isotherms were measured. Kinetics of cadmium sorption was contact time, initial cadmium concentration and sorbent type dependent. For a give...
